Ok........after a little research, and a whole lot of help from Elmo & Milijo, it appears that the "Bonsai Kitten" is all a hoax started by some college students at MIT.  There are links below to take you to several articles concerning this hoax.  Again, thanks to Elmo & Milijo for helping to correct this misconception of a very tasteless hoax.
